In the left hand column click on Melrose Place. Read along as it describes how the plantation was built and what life was like for slaves. At the end it will take you to the interactive map so that you can see each room.

  For the Underground Railroad go to:  http://www.slaveryinamerica.org/whats_new.htm     (same site)  In the left hand column click on Roads to Freedom. Click on the icons on the bottom. Each one will take you on a different route used by slaves who were trying to escape to freedom.
